Conveyancing

Conveyancing

One of the biggest decisions in your life is buying a house and again later, when selling.

We are able to provide you with legal guidance on all aspects of your conveyancing matter, from pre-contract, post-contract and to settlement.

It is important to get it right and we can help you do just that. Contact us to discuss your sale or purchase.

Why do I need a lawyer? Why wouldn’t I use a conveyancer?

Conveyancers are registered advisors and advise on the sale/purchase process. They assist in preparing the documents and handle the settlement process. However, they are prevented from providing legal advice where issues arise in your conveyance of a legal nature.

If issues arise in your purchase/sale requiring legal advice, you will be referred by a conveyancer to a lawyer with experience in conveyancing. Clearly there is a double up of work, as your lawyer needs to familiarise themselves with what has occurred.

No one expects issues in the beginning, so using a lawyer may cost just a fraction more, but ultimately can save you thousands or tens of thousands.
